London underground moves into second phase of testing

London Underground has moved onto the second phase of a trial of passenger screening system. The IT applications and devices can detect traces of explosives and are being trialed at Canary Wharf station.

The Department for Transport (DfT) and Transport for London (TfL) are testing high-speed explosives ticket scanner and an x-ray system from Smiths Detection.
