From The National Business Review
TelstraClear’s broadband service is the best performing in New Zealand according to technical analysis released by a monitoring company today. And Telecom’s network is dragging down the performance of internet service providers piggy-backing on it.

Broadband monitoring company Epitiro compared DSL services of the five largest internet service providers (ISPs) in the country (New Zealand).

Epitiro benchmarks broadband performance of telcos in the UK and set up in Auckland earlier this year. The performance testing and monitoring measurements provided detailed figures on the speed and reliability of internet connections and downloads, and how long it took customers to connect to the internet. They said TelstraClear has a relatively new network which extends close to the customer and far into the global internet.

Epitiro offers a range of services to ISPs enabling them to benchmark customer performance across dial up, cable, broadband and wireless connections
