Micro Focus CEO announces departure

The Chief Executive of Micro Focus, Nigel Clifford, has announced he is leaving after a matter of months in the role. The non-executive chairman, Kevin Loosemore, will take on Nigel Cliffords role and has been made the executive chairman.

Micro Focus is a leading supplier of automated software testing, having added the software testing capability of Borland (Silk Test and Silk Performer) and Compuware (TestPartner, QALoad) to their collatoral through acquisition. Under the leadership of Clifford, Micro Focus share have lost over 2/5ths of their value. There is now speculation that Micro Focus could be a acquisition target SAP or IBM.
